Our beautifully appointed showroom and design studio is housed in a 7,000 square foot mansion designed by the renowned architect, Charles Barton Keene. In this stunning circa-1920's home featuring soaring ceilings, hardwood floors, carved marble fireplace surround and original Tiffany windows - Idlewild's owner Bruce Anderson showcases his design aesthetic and fills the interior spaces with beautiful furniture, lighting, art and accessories for his clients and customers.

Driving Directions:
From Business 40 East- Exit at Peters Creek Parkway. At the top of the ramp, turn
left (downhill) onto Peters Creek Parkway. Stay in the far right lane and turn right onto Fourth Street. It is the first street on the right. Go up the hill and just past the overpass,
Idlewild House will be the first house on your left.
From Business 40 West- Exit at Peters Creek Parkway. At the top of the ramp, turn
right (downhill) onto Peters Creek Parkway. Stay in the far right lane and turn right onto Fourth Street. It is the first street on the right. Go up the hill and just past the overpass, Idlewild House will be the first house on your left.
From Stratford Road at the 5 Points intersection, Winston-Salem - Take First Street towards Downtown. The second light after Hawthorne Road, turn right at Fourth Street. The historic house is two blocks on the right.
From Fourth Street downtown - Travel on Fourth Street west as far as you can until
it ends at First Street. Turn right and take an immediate left turn onto Piedmont. Take this road for two blocks through the residential neighborhood until it rejoins Fourth Street. Turn right and Idlewild will be on the right.
